How Does Advice “From the Fertility Experts” Help My Fertility Journey?
Fertility Chronicles is proud to present a special blog series, “From the Fertility Experts,” where leading fertility experts answer commonly asked questions from patients about their fertility health and treatment options. We hope this series can help patients navigate their personal fertility journeys.—Catherine T. Yang, Editor, Fertility Chronicles
Dr. Mylene Yao, CEO and Co-Founder of Univfy Inc., explains what Univfy envisions for this blog series:
As part of our mission to help fertility patients build healthy families, Univfy’s Fertility Chronicles blog is launching the series, From the Fertility Experts (“Fertility Experts”), to bring together respected in vitro fertilization (IVF) specialists from the U.S. and the world to share their expert advice on questions commonly asked by patients who are trying to conceive or have infertility. In this series, our authoritative guest bloggers explain current thinking and practice in reproductive medicine, highlighting information that helps patients determine when to see a doctor and what to consider when making various decisions about infertility treatment options. We hope the series will help equip you to navigate your personal fertility journey.
In the “Fertility Experts” blog series, you will see a line up of lively and informative answers to your questions. In our first two inaugural blogs, we received advice from Dr. Jamie Grifo, Director of the New York University Fertility Center (NYC), on when patients should consider consulting a fertility expert, and from Dr. Sunny Jun of the Palo Alto Medical Foundation (CA), on the best days in a woman’s cycle to try to conceive.
As you will learn from this series, many factors– your baseline health, reproductive health history, ovarian function, uterine health, your male partner’s reproductive health and sperm count – all contribute to your chances of having a successful pregnancy, whether you’re conceiving naturally, or with medical help. Although there is a whole world of science behind each of these topics, Univfy has developed a technology to analyze many such facets of your reproductive health profile together and to compare them against the reproductive profiles of thousands of women in the US, Canada and Europe, to give you a personalized prediction of your chances to have a baby with IVF treatment. In other words, you can think of Univfy IVF Prediction Test as a composite of your health information and laboratory tests.
It’s been a great pleasure for our editorial team to work with expert guest bloggers to produce this “Fertility Experts” series. My role is to ensure that the range of topics is balanced and relevant to you. Fertility Chronicles Editor Catherine T. Yang invites our guest bloggers to contribute, and aims to make the blogs digestible for patients and other healthcare providers, while our health writer Elaine Herscher provides research and editing to clarify explanation of medical terms.
Together, we are pleased to bring this series to you. We wish you the best in achieving progress in your endeavors.
