Perhaps you are dealing with infertility, or maybe you know someone who is going through the struggle. In any case, infertility is a very real issue and affects one in eight couples in the U.S. alone. For this year’s National Infertility Awareness Week, Apr. 20 to 26, RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association, is asking everyone to “resolve to know more”-- to know more about infertility and what you can do to support the awareness.
This year marks the twenty-fifth anniversary of National Infertility Awareness Week (NIAW), which was started by RESOLVE in 1989. This is a very important time for each of us to come together and to raise awareness and support for a public health issue that impacts approximately 7.3 million Americans (2002 National Survey of Family Growth). While much progress has been made, there is still much work to be done to educate the public, media, and our government that people with infertility matter.
In recognition of NIAW’s 25th anniversary, below are some of the topics RESOLVE is asking everyone to “resolve to know more about”:
Univfy is supporting National Infertility Awareness Week and RESOLVE by asking the infertility community to share our stories and inspire more family members, more friends, more medical professionals, and more lawmakers to join the movement.
