If you’re an infertility patient, you’re no stranger to the high costs of fertility treatment. For patients pursuing IVF, fertility medication can contribute to 30% or more of IVF costs. Some large pharmaceutical providers of ovulation medications for infertility patients offer discount programs on their fertility drugs, especially for patients without insurance or those whose insurance doesn’t cover fertility medication. Ferring Pharmaceuticals and EMD Serono provide programs to help all types of patients afford fertility medication.
Ferring Pharmaceuticals offers fertility drug discounts for patients with or without insurance coverage. Ferring also offers the Heart Beat Program that gives certain fertility medications at no cost to cancer patients who hope to preserve their fertility. Ferring drugs include Bravelle, Menopur, Endometrin, Novarel, and Repronex.
Heart+ Savings Program
Through the Heart+ Savings Program, fertility patients without insurance coverage have access to significant savings on most Ferring fertility drugs, including Bravelle, Menopur, Endometrin, and Novarel, at participating pharmacies. Patients with insurance coverage have access to up to $500 of savings on each prescription for Bravelle.
Eligibility: Uninsured patients are eligible for savings on Bravelle, Menopur, Endometrin, and Novarel. Patients with insurance coverage are eligible for savings on Bravelle.
How to Apply: Simply ask your physician or nurse for a Heart+ Savings card. Heart+ Savings cards are valid for one year. For more information, or to see a list of participating pharmacies, click here.
Endometrin Instant Savings Program
The Endometrin Instant Savings Program enables fertility patients to save up to $50 on each prescription of Endometrin vaginal insert 100 mg.
Eligibility: Patients must have a prescription for at least 21 Endometrin inserts. Uninsured patients and patients with commercial insurance are eligible.
How to Apply: Enrolling in this program is simple. Just ask your physician or nurse for an Endometrin Instant Savings card after your doctor prescribes Endometrin. Your pharmacist will apply the discount when you pick up your prescription. Here is a list of participating pharmacies.
Heart Beat Program
The Heart Beat Program is designed to help cancer patients preserve their fertility prior to undergoing cancer treatment. Through this program, eligible patients receive certain medications produced by Ferring Pharmaceuticals at no cost.
Eligibility: Patients must be female, U.S. citizens, or permanent residents with a diagnosis of cancer. Patients must not have undergone chemotherapy in the last six months and must be recommended by their physician or oncologist for fertility preservation treatment.

EMD Serono offers a variety of discounts on fertility drugs for those without insurance coverage, those with coverage, and those with financial need. EMD Serono also offers fertility patients the Fertility LifeLines Program, a free and confidential information and support service, to patients at every stage of their fertility journey. The Compassionate Care program provides uninsured income-eligible patients significant savings on EMD Serono products. Patients can save up to 75% off the self-pay price of fertility medications at a participating pharmacy and can use the Compassionate Care Program for multiple cycles within each year.
Eligibility: Patients must prove financial need, be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, and be in fertility treatment under a physician’s care. Eligibility is based on qualifying annual household gross income and first-time participation in the Compassionate Care program

Go-Direct to Savings
The Go-Direct to Savings program provides self-pay patients with a valid prescription for Gonal-f, Ovidrel, or Cetrotide a discount via a mail-in rebate of up to 14% of total cost off their out-of-pocket costs on every cycle.
Eligibility: This program is available to self-pay patients without insurance coverage for fertility medication. Prescriptions must be filled within the United States.

The Co-Pay Savings program provides insured patients discounts for Gonal-f, Ovidrel, and/or Cetrocide medication at a participating pharmacy. Through this program, patients can save up to $200 per prescription every 21 days. Interested fertility patients apply for a Co-Pay Savings card, which they can use throughout their fertility treatment.
Eligibility: Patients must have a prescription drug benefit that covers Gonal-f and a valid Gonal-f prescription. Patients will receive discounts on their out-of-pocket/co-pay portion of the cost.
